Summary
Tophat is a mobile applications testing harness. Prior to 2.5.1, Tophat is affected by remote code execution via crafted tophat:// or http://localhost:29070 URLs. The arguments query parameter flows unsanitized from URL parsing through to /bin/bash -c execution, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on a developer's macOS workstation. Any developer with Tophat installed is vulnerable. For previously trusted build hosts, no confirmation dialog appears. Attacker commands run with the user's permissions. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.1.

Summary
Ruby LSP is an implementation of the language server protocol for Ruby. Prior to Shopify.ruby-lsp version 0.10.2 and ruby-lsp version 0.26.9, the rubyLsp.branch VS Code workspace setting was interpolated without sanitization into a generated Gemfile, allowing arbitrary Ruby code execution when a user opens a project containing a malicious .vscode/settings.json. This issue has been patched in Shopify.ruby-lsp version 0.10.2 and ruby-lsp version 0.26.9.

Summary
The Job Iteration API is an an extension for ActiveJob that make jobs interruptible and resumable Versions prior to 1.11.0 have an arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the `CsvEnumerator` class. This vulnerability can be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system where the application is running, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data leakage, or complete system compromise. The issue is fixed in versions `1.11.0` and above. Users can mitigate the risk by avoiding the use of untrusted input in the `CsvEnumerator` class and ensuring that any file paths are properly sanitized and validated before being passed to the class methods. Users should avoid using the `count_of_rows_in_file` method with untrusted CSV filenames.

CWE
- CWE-78 - Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection')
Summary
ejson2env allows users to decrypt EJSON secrets and export them as environment variables. Prior to version 2.0.8, the `ejson2env` tool has a vulnerability related to how it writes to `stdout`. Specifically, the tool is intended to write an export statement for environment variables and their values. However, due to inadequate output sanitization, there is a potential risk where variable names or values may include malicious content, resulting in additional unintended commands being output to `stdout`. If this output is improperly utilized in further command execution, it could lead to command injection, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the host system. Version 2.0.8 sanitizes output during decryption. Other mitigations involve avoiding use of `ejson2env` to decrypt untrusted user secrets and/or avoiding evaluating or executing the direct output from `ejson2env` without removing nonprintable characters.

- CWE-287 - Improper Authentication
Summary
Tophat is a mobile applications testing harness. An Improper Access Control vulnerability can expose the `TOPHAT_APP_TOKEN` token stored in `~/.tophatrc` through use of a malicious Tophat URL controlled by the attacker. The vulnerability allows Tophat to send this token to the attacker's server without any checks to ensure that the server is trusted. This token can then be used to access internal build artifacts, for mobile applications, not intended to be public. The issue has been patched as of version 1.10.0. The ability to request artifacts using a Tophat API has been deprecated as this flow was inherently insecure. Systems that have implemented this kind of endpoint should cease use and invalidate the token immediately. There are no workarounds and all users should update as soon as possible.

- CWE-79 - Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
Summary
Hydrogen is a React-based framework for building dynamic, Shopify-powered custom storefronts. There is a potential Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability where an arbitrary user is able to execute scripts on pages that are built with Hydrogen. This affects all versions of Hydrogen starting from version 0.10.0 to 0.18.0. This vulnerability is exploitable in applications whose hydrating data is user controlled. All Hydrogen users should upgrade their project to version 0.19.0. There is no current workaround, and users should update as soon as possible. Additionally, the Content Security Policy is not an effective mitigation for this vulnerability.
