CWE
  • CWE-200 - Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor
  • CWE-501 - Trust Boundary Violation
  • CWE-822 - Untrusted Pointer Dereference
Summary
In Eclipse ThreadX versions 6.0.1 through 6.5.2.202603, the four non-secure-callable secure stack functions of the TrustZone-M ports dereference a thread pointer supplied by the non-secure world without checking that it points to non-secure memory. Non-secure code can make the secure firmware reveal which secure bytes are zero, write chosen secure words, and fault the secure world, breaking TrustZone-M isolation and enabling recovery of secure-world secrets such as cryptographic keys.

CVE-2026-102757 (GCVE-0-2026-102757)

CWE
  • CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds Read
  • CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds Write
  • CWE-822 - Untrusted Pointer Dereference
  • CWE-823 - Use of Out-of-range Pointer Offset
  • CWE-843 - Access of Resource Using Incompatible Type ('Type Confusion')
Summary
An unprivileged, memory-protected ThreadX module can have the kernel read and write memory at addresses of its choosing, in privileged mode, and can use that to clear the MPU enable bit and remove its own isolation boundary. The Module Manager decided whether a privileged service could dereference an object address a module named by asking only whether that address fell outside the module. The manager's object pool is outside every module, so the test was satisfied by an address shifted into the interior of one of the module's own privileged allocations, which denotes no object at all. The bytes such an address presents as a control block are bytes the module put there through ordinary create and set services, so the control block ID at the front of them could be made to read as any type the module chose, and the `_txe_` layer's ID test then agreed. The reported chain uses that to reach a privileged `memset` across an attacker-chosen range.

CWE
  • CWE-233 - Improper Handling of Parameters
Summary
In Eclipse ThreadX before version 6.4.3, an attacker can cause a denial of service (crash) by providing a pointer to a reserved or unmapped memory region. Vulnerable system calls had a check of pointers, but that check wasn't verifying whether the pointer is outside the module memory region.

CVE-2025-2259 (GCVE-0-2025-2259)
Vulnerability from cvelistv5
Published
2025-04-06 19:01
Modified
2025-04-14 15:03
CWE
  • CWE-191 - Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound)
Summary
In NetX HTTP server functionality of Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before version 6.4.3, an attacker can cause an integer underflow and a subsequent denial of service by writing a very large file, by specially crafted packets with Content-Length in one packet smaller than the data request size of the other packet. A possible workaround is to disable HTTP PUT support. This issue follows an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-0727

CWE
  • CWE-191 - Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound)
Summary
In NetX Duo component HTTP server functionality of Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before version 6.4.3, an attacker can cause an integer underflow and a subsequent denial of service by writing a very large file, by specially crafted packets with Content-Length smaller than the data request size. A possible workaround is to disable HTTP PUT support. This issue follows an uncomplete fix in CVE-2025-0728.

Summary
In NetX HTTP server functionality of Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before version 6.4.2, an attacker can cause an integer underflow and a subsequent denial of service by writing a very large file, by specially crafted packets with Content-Length smaller than the data request size. A possible workaround is to disable HTTP PUT support.

CVE-2024-2212 (GCVE-0-2024-2212)
Vulnerability from cvelistv5
Published
2024-03-26 15:58
Modified
2025-02-13 17:33
CWE
  • CWE-122 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow
  • CWE-190 - Integer Overflow or Wraparound
Summary
In Eclipse ThreadX before 6.4.0, xQueueCreate() and xQueueCreateSet() functions from the FreeRTOS compatibility API (utility/rtos_compatibility_layers/FreeRTOS/tx_freertos.c) were missing parameter checks. This could lead to integer wraparound, under-allocations and heap buffer overflows.
